Take. Keep. Share.
Free Art Drop is a Forgotten Main Street project built around a simple idea: leave small pieces of art out in the world for others to find, enjoy, keep, or share.
FMS has always been about exploring the path less taken, chasing backroads, and finding beauty in places that still have a story to tell. Free Art Drop lets us take that same spirit and place it directly into the hands of people who stumble across our work in the real world.
Sometimes the art may be connected to the area where it is found. Other times, it may be one of our favorite captures from past travels, old roads, forgotten places, or quiet moments that simply felt worth sharing.
The point is not just where the image was made.
The point is the joy of finding it.

How It Works
From time to time, we will place a free art piece in a public, respectful, and discoverable location. The drop may be rural and remote, local and popular, or somewhere in between.
Once a Free Art Drop is placed, we will share a post on social media with clues to help you track it down. Think of it as a small-town Easter egg hunt with art, backroads, and a little FMS curiosity mixed in.
Our three simple words for the project are:
Take. Keep. Share.
If you find a Free Art Drop piece, take it. It was placed there to be found.
Keep it for yourself if it speaks to you, or share it with a friend who might enjoy it. There is no purchase, no contest, and no catch. It is simply a small piece of our art passion placed out in the world for someone else to enjoy.

Where We Drop
Free Art Drop started with Dixie placing three pieces at the Cogar gas station in Oklahoma. That spot gave the project a good beginning, but now it is time for the idea to move around and grow.
Dixie will be working Free Art Drops around the Oklahoma City area and the backroads within reach of his travels.
Peep will be doing the same in his area around Bellingham, Washington, adding his own part of the story from the Pacific Northwest.
When we are on the road together for our normal Forgotten Main Street adventures, Free Art Drop will travel with us. That means future drops may show up along old highways, forgotten towns, roadside stops, small communities, or unexpected places we discover along the way.
Respect the Place
We ask everyone who joins the hunt to be respectful of the place they are visiting.
Please do not trespass, damage property, disturb old buildings, move things around, or leave trash behind. Whether the drop is at an old gas station, a roadside stop, a public landmark, or a familiar local place, the location is part of the story.
Forgotten Main Street is built on appreciation, not destruction.
Leave the place better than you found it.

Share the Journey
Once a Free Art Drop piece is found, we would love to know where it goes next.
Maybe it ends up on your wall. Maybe you pass it along to a friend. Maybe it travels farther than we ever expected. Once we place the art out there, the next part of the story belongs to whoever finds it.
If you find a Free Art Drop piece, snap a photo and share the story. Tag us on Instagram and use the hashtag:
#FMSArtDrop
Let us know who found it, where it landed, or where it travels next.
Follow the Clues
Watch our social media posts for the next Free Art Drop location. We will share clues when a new piece is placed, and hopefully give you just enough to go find it.
It might be down a backroad.
It might be around a familiar corner.
It might be somewhere you have driven past a hundred times without stopping.
Take it. Keep it. Share it.
And most of all, enjoy the hunt.
